Mommy found out she was pregnant with little Kaleigh Olivia Vance on Mother's Day, 2009. Our second baby. 23 all too short weeks later, Mommy's water broke. We were so scared. Mommy was put on bedrest in the hospital and doctors did everything they could to keep little KayKay inside as long as possible. 10 days later, Kaleigh couldn't wait any longer and came into our world on September 19, 2009. Our second preemie princess. An amazing 1lb 12oz, ready to show everyone how strong she was. After little more than 48 hours, she was breathing on her own. Everyone was so thankful, we thought we would get through this easily.
Kaleigh developed 2 brain bleeds (Intraventricular hemorrhage, IVH). We knew they could get worse, and we knew that could cause problems for her. There was nothing more hurtful than when she did get worse, we were given the option to let our angel go. We knew she was a fighter, and most of me expected her to get throught this. I wonder now If we could have saved her some pain. She developed hydrocephalus from blood clotting. On the night of Friday, October 30, 2009 our angel Kaleigh got her own pair of wings and flew to be with Jesus, before she could have had surgery to remove the fluid on her brain.
We hold every second our sweet angel KayKay was here with us safe in our hearts. Her precious feet may have been so small, but they were big enough to leave footprints in everyone who's lives she touched in the short time she was here.
May our angel Kaleigh never be forgotten. We love you so much baby girl.

And felt your heart-sent love.
So I’m sending you this message
Now, from Heaven up above.
You’re wondering if I’ll celebrate
My Birthday (way up here).
I know you’re missing me today
I feel your essence near.
God planned a special day for me,
He told me with a wink.
He’d ordered me a special cake
(It’s Angel food, I think).
Balloons will fill the streets for me,
They float up through the clouds.
And we have lots of friends up here
That make us laugh out loud.
There is a Birthday carousel,
Jewelled horses ride the wind,
With music playing, oh so sweet…
The magic never ends.
I’ve made so many friends, you see
We laugh and play and sing.
We ride our bikes and play jump rope
And sleep in Angel’s wings.
We’ll have our cake and ice cream
And open gifts - SURPRISE!
But we don’t blow out our candles here
Instead, they light the skies.

hello i just wanted to say my little girl molly was born premature too & i have a website on here her name is molly ann muriel beddow if you want to take a look. little kaleigh is gorgeous! .. so tiny yet so perfect in the eyes of everyone even me a passer by that never met her! .. she is free from pain .. playing with all the other little angels in heaven! .. my heart goes out to you! .. R.I.P Little Angel Baby! x
There is a special Angel in Heaven that is part of me.
It is not where I wanted her but where God wanted her to be.
She was here but just a moment, like a night time shooting star.
And though she is in Heaven, she isn't very far.
She touched the heart of many like only an Angel can do.
